Southeastern Indiana Board of REALTORS® Inc., (SEIBR) was formed in December of 1949 and is assigned by NAR the following counties in Indiana: Dearborn, Ripley, Switzerland, and Ohio.

Both the Board of Southeastern Indiana and the Multiple Listings Service were incorporated in 1976.

Membership is composed primarily of real estate salespersons, real estate brokers and appraisers. There are also several Affiliate members composed of banks, mortgage companies, title companies, inspection firms and other businesses that are involved in real estate transactions. Members represent residential, commercial, industrial, appraisal, property management, and development real estate activities.

Members of SEIBR are also affiliated with the 20,000 member Indiana Association of REALTORS®, located in Indianapolis and the 1.3 million member National Association of REALTORS® with offices in Chicago and Washington.

The purpose of SEIBR is to be the visible voice for real estate interests in Southeastern Indiana. SEIBR represents real estate interests in governmental affairs including the operation of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). It also promotes a high level of professionalism through its continuing education programs. Arbitration of commission disputes between member firms. Resolution of public ethical complaints and complaints regarding South East Indiana real estate transactions through the Grievance Committee of the Southeastern Indiana Board of Realtors are a part of the organization's ongoing functions.

In addition, the association provides technological products and services to its members.  All our homes are also offered on Realtor.com.

The term REALTOR® and the distinctive block R are registered marks of the National Association of REALTORS® and can only be used by members of the association, which indicates that these real estate professionals subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics.
